PERFUME NOTES

Litsea Cubeba - When you smell litsea cubeba, you might feel as if you're walking on a field of lemon candy. Not as well known as its other citrus counter parts, its scent is clean, fresh and sweet-green lemon smell. Unlike true lemon oil, it never goes rancid. Smelling it is almost an invitation to something fun. It helps extend the citrus scents in the heart of a perfume.

Yuzu - Distilled from the citrus peel of this aromatic fruit. Makes me think of a sophisticated and elegant lemon if there was such a thing. Along with a lovely citrus smell it’s also floral, sweet and balsamic.

Jasmine - Soft, delicate, and powerful. Called the king and queen of flowers for a reason. It has inspired poets for centuries and adorned brides as well as the sails of royalty. Sweet, floral, slightly fruity and tea-like scent.

Mimosa - Gentle, sweet, and has a hint of a soft, green scent reminiscent of cucumber. It’s described as a honeyed or almond note. It’s not a surprise that it reminds me of the softest, most delicate baked good.

Neroli - This small and dainty flower makes its presence known. Fresh, sweet, intense with green rather than fruity notes. Its scent profile has highly sophisticated nuances. It’s seductive while possessing a unique bashful demure. Found in some of the most famous classic perfumes.

Tonka - Multifaceted. Mysterious. Tonka is sophisticated and slowly shows off its beauty throughout the drydown. It starts as a green, hay-like scent almost tickling your nose, but soon after it shows off its sweet, warm, woody scent. It continues getting softer as it evolves into a sophisticated almond, reminiscent of vanilla. Its role in Ever Present is quiet, observant, but acts as a firm base that holds the top and middle notes adding longevity and elegant drydown to this fragrance.

Vanilla - Invaluable in natural perfumery. It serves as a base to smooth out rough edges. It’s sweet, warm, rich, and balsamic. Just as in cooking, a little bit goes a long way. In the right proportions, it’s a beautiful accent note that offers softness and intimacy to a fragrance.
